Sullivan Joins Greater Boston Legal Services Associates Fund Drive for 16th Year

Greater Boston Legal Services

  • Share this page:

Sullivan & Worcester is proud to announce its participation in the Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) Associates Fund Drive for the 16th year in a row. Sullivan associates and counsel have donated over $100,000 to GBLS since the firm began participating in 2008.

What Is GBLS?

  • GBLS provides free civil legal services to low-income individuals, families and community groups in the Greater Boston area who otherwise cannot afford to hire and retain an attorney. Last year, GBLS provided free legal assistance to over 11,000 clients, primarily in the areas of Family Law, Housing, Immigration, Employment and Health Law.
  • Although this number is impressive, GBLS is still regrettably forced to turn away more than 45% of meritorious cases because of staffing and financial constraints. On top of that, GBLS’ funding relies heavily on outside donations – last year more than 20% of GBLS’ funding came from the Boston legal community – including over $640,000 given by Associates and Counsel in the 2023 Associates Drive.

Donations to GBLS can be made online here.
