Companies from the Nordic region – Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Denmark– are important players in the world economy, and many are interested in expanding in the United States. Sullivan has extensive experience serving Nordic companies in growing their interests globally. Our team has advised a broad range of Nordic region corporations, from major companies to smaller enterprises in the technology, transportation equipment and materials industries, among others.

We work to develop lasting relationships with hands-on, responsive service, practical advice and creative solutions to address the problems and opportunities our clients face. Our team handles mergers and acquisitions, corporate establishment and structuring, finance, tax, commercial contracts, employment and benefits, real estate, intellectual property, environmental and litigation matters. Our ideal representation starts with helping a client plan, structure and execute its market entry, develop and grow its business, and carry out a successful exit transaction.

In addition to our client work, the firm is active in local Finnish-American business organizations. We visit Finland frequently and speak on a variety of legal subjects. We also serve as pro bono counsel to American Friends of CMI, Inc., a non-profit organization supporting the work of Finland’s Crisis Management Initiative and similar organizations. Sullivan is committed to the Finnish market. We have been helping Finnish companies enter or operate in the U.S. market for more than thirty years.
