Geoffrey Wynne has been quoted in  an article for the International Trade and Forfaiting Association (ITFA), written by Clarissa Dann, titled “Financing the Future: From Defence to Critical Raw Materials”, following a panel discussion at ITFA’s 52nd Annual Conference in Split, Croatia where he was a panellist.

The article examines the growing demand for finance across critical raw materials, defence and energy transition supply chains and the challenges of attracting capital to smaller producers. Geoff’s comments highlight the importance of effective risk allocation, innovative financing structures and greater participation from banks, insurers and private credit providers.

Calling for a change in approach from governments and regulators, Geoff also emphasises the need to encourage trade financing throughout the physical supply chain, particularly for businesses unable to establish a track record without access to funding.
