People: Geoffrey Wynne

Geoffrey Wynne moderated a panel session on “Trade and SCF Interoperability and Digitization – What Does the Future Look Like?” at the BAFT 2026 Europe Forum on March 5, 2026, in London.

The panel looked ahead into the next decade, where the world of Trade / Supply Chain Finance (SCF) is on the brink of transformation, to discuss whether we finally bridge the gap between past lessons and future innovation. The session asked whether, as shifting geopolitics redraws the map of global commerce and the race is on for true digital standardization and interoperability — can we leave paper behind for good? Also discussed was how, with non-bank platforms rising, banks must find new ways to stand out, and while artificial intelligence, digital assets and tokenization all promise to rewrite the rulebook, technology takes center stage in the fight against fraud.

All this unfolds against a backdrop of evolving regulations and capital demands, setting the stage for a bold new era in trade and finance.

The panel also included Marissa Adams at HSBC, Anastasia McAlpine at Finastra and Dave Frye at Traydstream.
