Boston, MA  Amy Sheridan, a Tax partner in Sullivan & Worcester’s Boston office, has been selected as a member of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s 2024 “Top Women of Law.”

Recognized as a trailblazing tax attorney for her ability to develop leading edge solutions to evolving tax issues, Amy’s thought leadership has made her a go-to employee benefits and executive compensation lawyer. From developing compensation packages that incorporate cryptocurrency to examining how the post-Dobbs landscape impacts employers and their benefits offerings, Amy’s innovative approach places her among the nation’s top practitioners.

“The tax code is a like a puzzle with changeable pieces,” Amy said. “When a new rule or regulation is introduced, the challenge is to find a workable solution. I love that challenge.”

Amy concentrates her practice in the employee benefits and executive compensation area and is experienced in designing, structuring and addressing documentation and compliance issues for compensation and benefit arrangements. She has broad expertise with regulatory and tax requirements related to welfare plans (including federal health care reform and HIPAA privacy and security requirements), qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and individual retirement accounts. Recognized by the industry for her ability to develop solutions to evolving tax questions, in 2022 the National Law Journal named Amy an Employment Law Trailblazer.

Top Women honorees were selected by a panel comprised of members of the legal community and representatives of Lawyers Weekly. The legal trade publication annually celebrates the achievements of honorees who have made significant contributions to the legal profession while serving as role models for young women entering the law.
