Carole Bass will participate in two presentations at the 61st Annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, held at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida, from January 11-15, 2027. Founded at the University of Miami School of Law, the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning is the country’s leading provider of quality estate planning education and the national gathering place for estate planning professionals.

The first presentation, "Who’s in the Control Tower? Helicopter Parenting and Multigenerational Estate Planning," will take place on January 12. This program will address the increasingly common and complex scenario of parents seeking to influence planning decisions affecting their children’s financial and personal lives, including the ethical considerations surrounding client identity, privilege and potential conflicts of interest.

The second presentation, "All in the Family: Multigenerational Estate Planning," will take place on January 13. Carole and fellow panelists will address tax-efficient strategies for shifting generational wealth, techniques for maximizing tax planning within irrevocable structures as circumstances change, and practical considerations that may present challenges for both senior and junior generations.
