Ameek Ashok Ponda, Director of Sullivan's Tax Department, has been elected to the Board of Governors of the Harvard Club of Boston. 

A graduate of Harvard College (Class of 1989) and Harvard Law School (Class of 1992), Ameek has been a member of the Harvard Club since 2012 and was elected to the Board in 2025. The Club serves as a cornerstone for Harvard alumni in Greater Boston, fostering intellectual, professional and cultural connections.

Ameek is nationally recognized for his work in domestic and international tax matters, with particular distinction in REIT conversions and cross-border transactions. He has advised public and private REITs across a broad range of asset classes—from data centers and digital infrastructure to hotels, residential portfolios, and renewable energy projects.

In addition to his practice, Ameek is deeply engaged in legal education and public service. He has taught for more than 25 years as an adjunct professor in Boston University School of Law’s Graduate Tax Program and has also lectured at Harvard Law School and Boston College Law School. His leadership extends to numerous organizations, including his roles as Vice President of the American College of Tax Counsel, Chair of the Board of Tax Analysts, Advisory Board member of GBH and the South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston and Board member of the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company.
