Sullivan & Worcester was pleased to sponsor the 2026 ITFA Emerging Leader Award, presented at the Gala Dinner during ITFA’s 52nd Annual International Trade and Forfaiting Conference in Split, Croatia.

Following presentations by the three shortlisted candidates and a vote by delegates attending the conference, Harry Thursby-Pelham at HSBC was named the 2026 winner for his project, ‘Fluent in Finance’. Sullivan partner and head of the firm’s Trade & Export Finance Group, Geoffrey Wynne, had the pleasure of presenting Harry with the award at the Gala Dinner on Thursday, September 10.

Congratulations also to fellow finalists Ayush Bhandari, for ‘Risk That Cannot Travel: Rewiring Trade Finance in a Fragmented World’, and Mohit Panjwani, for ‘Converting Fragmented Documents into Verified Trade Evidence – Introducing DTCII’. The three finalists were selected from a record number of submissions.

Simon Cook, Head of ITFA’s Education Committee, was closely involved in the Emerging Leaders programme and, together with Charlie O’Mulloy, Chair of ITFA’s Emerging Leader Committee, moderated the finalists’ Q&A session at the conference. The ultimate winner was decided by a vote of conference delegates.

Sullivan was delighted to support an initiative that provides emerging trade finance professionals with an international platform to showcase fresh ideas and contribute to the future development of the industry.
