London, UK – International law firm Sullivan & Worcester is pleased to announce that Daniela Barrdear has joined the firm’s award-winning Trade & Export Finance practice in London as counsel, from Hogan Lovells International.

Daniela advises on trade and commodity finance structures, acting for banks and non-bank financial institutions, development finance institutions and multilateral organisations as well as borrowers. She has significant knowledge of supply chain finance techniques, blended finance and export financing across the globe, with a focus on emerging markets.

Her appointment follows the recent arrival of partner Ellis Lawson who joined the firm to increase the range of international finance advice Sullivan provides to clients as part of its International & Cross-Border Finance practice.

“As the London office completes its tenth year providing the full range of trade, export and commodity finance legal services to financial institutions, non-bank financial institutions, the industry and other market participants, it is very much thanks to the support we get from our growing client base that we need to continue to expand,” comments Geoffrey Wynne, head of Sullivan's Trade & Export Finance Group and the firm's London office. “Daniela’s experience in trade and export finance will go into immediate use advising clients, helping them to get their deals done internationally in particular across emerging markets. I am very pleased to welcome her to the firm.”

Daniela Barrdear added: “Sullivan’s trade and export finance team in London and New York is a highly respected part of the trade finance industry internationally. As the firm continues to play a key role in the digitalisation of trade and trade finance, and given significant recent developments in the law, I am truly excited to become a part of the team.”
