Sullivan & Worcester Adds Joseph Segilia as Partner in Corporate Practice Group
New York, NY - International law firm Sullivan & Worcester today announced an expansion of its Corporate Practice Group with the addition of Joseph Segilia as partner in the firm’s New York office. His practice is focused on representing clients in the cannabis industry as well as corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities laws and capital markets transactions.
Joe joins Sullivan from Unrivaled Brands, Inc., a vertically-integrated cannabis multi-state operator, where he was the company’s General Counsel and one of the first General Counsels of a publicly-traded cannabis company.

In addition to transactional work, Joe advises clients regarding corporate governance and disclosure matters, including compliance with Securities Exchange Act of 1934 requirements, stock exchange listing standards and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance.

Prior to his work at Unrivaled, Joe was a partner at Robinson Brog Leinwand Greene Genovese & Gluck PC, where he represented cannabis clients and before that, at Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe LLP, and at Morrison Cohen, LLP. He launched his career at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.
Admitted to the Bar in New York and in the United Kingdom, Joe earned his B.A, magna cum laude, from Luther College; his J.D. from New York University School of Law; and his L.L.M. from University College London. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the International Cannabis Bar Association.
