As part of Trade Finance Week 2026, Geoffrey Wynne joined a discussion titled “The ITFA Panel: Digital Negotiable Instruments” at the 20th Global Conference on Letters of Credit, hosted by The ICC Austria in Vienna on June 12.

The panel explored the evolving legal and market framework for digital negotiable instruments, including the key rule sets guiding adoption and enforceability. In a spirit of genuine partnership, ICC Austria and ITFA CEE joined forces to host ITFA’s first annual update at this conference, reinforcing cooperation in advancing standards, practice and innovation in trade finance.

Introduced by Chairman of the ITFA CEE Board, Semih Özcan, the panel also included ITFA Chairman, Sean Edwards.

Geoffrey Wynne was joined at another panel later that day titled “Digital Trade Finance: Ambition versus Implementation." The panel took a candid look at the current state of digitalisation of trade. It was led by Glenn Ransier and included Christina Seierup and Mireille Troosters.
