Public-Private Partnership: How to Drive Export Development, and Inclusive Trade
When: March 5, 2026
Location: BAFT and Trade Treasury Payments (TTP): International Women’s Day 2026

London, UK

People: Daniela Barrdear

Partner Daniela Barrdear co-hosted a fireside chat with Victoria d’Sylva, Head of Export Development & Inclusive Trade at UK Export Finance (UKEF), on ‘Public-Private Partnership: How to Drive Export Development, and Inclusive Trade’ as part of BAFT and Trade Treasury Payments (TTP)’s International Women’s Day programme in London on March 5, 2026.

The event was held as part of the BAFT Europe Forum 2026 and brought together senior leaders from commercial banks, corporates, fintech firms and multilateral development institutions to examine how women are shaping the next phase of global payments, treasury and cross-border finance.

Daniela and Victoria examined how state-backed capital shapes cross-border trade in a more fragmented world, including:

  • How UKEF balances commercial mandate and policy objectives
  • The evolving role of export finance in trade and supply chain resilience
  • Whether gender and inclusion goals can meaningfully influence ECA-backed transactions
  • What the next decade of export credit looks like amid industrial policy competition
