George has been a partner since 1983 and is co-founder and former managing partner of Sullivan's New York office. George's practice concentrates on lending and other financing transactions, with a focus on asset securitization. As a member of the firm's Securitization Practice Group, he represents issuers, credit enhancers, liquidity providers and conduit and other purchasers in domestic and international financings involving the securitization of wide range of financial assets. George also represents numerous foreign and domestic banking organizations in secured and unsecured lending transactions and project financings, as providers of credit enhancement and in other capital markets activities.

  • Representation of institutional purchasers, multi-seller commercial paper conduit purchasers, investment banks and issuers in connection with the issuance of or investment in asset backed securities involving numerous asset types, including credit card receivables, trade receivables, automobile, aircraft, equipment and other loans and leases, mortgages, insurance premium financings and collateralized debt obligations
  • Counsel to financial institutions in providing a wide range of credit and liquidity enhancements and hedges for securitization and other transactions, including collateral invested amounts and other subordination enhancements, cash collateral, loan or purchase commitments, letters of credit and currency, interest rate, credit default and total return swaps
  • Representation of major European banks in formation of bank-administered domestic and foreign commercial paper conduits
  • Representation of lenders in connection with secured and unsecured credit facilities, including multi-currency facilities
  • Representation of lenders in various project financings involving, inter alia, co-generation projects and wind and other alternative energy sources
  • Representation of lenders to hospital systems and other health care providers, including developers of continuing care and health related facilities, in direct financings and as purchasers and credit enhancers of tax exempt debt
  • Representation of financial institutions in various roles in tax exempt financings, including as credit and liquidity providers in transactions supported by pools of loans or equipment leases
