Sullivan Bolsters REIT Group, Welcomes Sarah Wellings Back to Firm as Counsel
Boston, MA - Sullivan & Worcester is pleased to announce that Sarah Wellings has rejoined the firm as counsel to the REIT practice group of our Boston office.
Sarah, whose practice is focused on state and local tax issues, rejoins Sullivan after launching her legal career as an associate at the firm. She then spent nearly seven years at Comcast in the State and Local Tax department before joining The Jackson Laboratory, a biomedical research institution, where she was Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Sarah earned her B.A. from Shimer College and both her J.D. and LL.M., Taxation, from Boston College Law School.
"We could not be happier that Sarah is rejoining us," said co-Managing Partner, David Nagle. "She left us as a shining star tax associate for an extraordinary in‑house opportunity. To see her return with ten years’ of additional experience and a client’s perspective speaks well of our practice, our people, and our firm’s future."
"Sullivan’s practical approach to solving complex problems and reputation for both creativity and integrity were very appealing to me. I am delighted to rejoin the team and to work again with this group of people for whom I have the highest regard," said Sarah.
Sarah is experienced in federal and state tax litigation and transactional planning involving corporate, franchise, personal income and sales/use tax matters, and in advising tax-exempt organizations, including public charities on all aspects of operations.
