Eric concentrates his practice in the areas of tax planning and tax controversy. He assists his clients in all matters of tax planning, with a focus on real estate and real estate fund offerings. Recently, he has worked with and advised clients on how to take advantage of the Opportunity Zone Program with respect to projects already planned or in the early stages of development, as well as future projects. Eric also assists clients in tax-efficient transaction planning, including tax planning relating to entity formation.
Eric has extensive experience in tax controversy matters and has represented clients with tax disputes before the IRS, state authorities, the US Tax Court and Federal Courts. Additionally, he has experience assisting clients with international tax planning, specifically related to international assets and foreign asset reporting issues regarding FBARs and other required reporting regimes.
