Sullivan Partner Aidan Browne serves as Chairman of the Boston Friends of the Gaelic Players and was the master of ceremonies at the event. Paul Flynn, CEO of the Gaelic Players Association and six-time All-Ireland Football Champion, was joined by guest speakers Sam Kennedy, President and CEO of the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Sports Management, and Bill Powers, CEO of Cambridge Mobile Telematics. Several current and former GPA players were also in attendance.
The GPA CEO Champions Lunch was held in conjunction with the Super 11s Hurling Classic, which took place for the first time this year at Citi Field (Mets Stadium) in New York on November 16th after several successful runs at Fenway Park. Widely believed to be the world's oldest field game, hurling combines agility, strength and intensity - earning it the reputation as the "fastest game on grass" among its loyal and passionate followers.
