Talk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid

Sullivan attorneys Ryan Rosenblatt, Luke Breckenridge, Matthew Bailey, Jillian Friedmann and Brandon Schneider were pleased to participate in this year's Talk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid virtual event on January 27, 2021.

Civil legal aid is a vital component of the state's response to COVID-19. The effects of the pandemic have disproportionately hit low-income families and making sure the legislature allocates sufficient funds to help these individuals secure unemployment benefits, maintain housing and meet other legal needs is a worthy endeavor.

Speakers included Attorney General Maura Healy and newly appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court Kimberly Budd, as well as other leaders in the Boston legal community. After the speaking program, there were breakout rooms for Legislative Visits with State Senators.
