Erika Todd was quoted in the article, "When May an Employer Reject a Religious Accommodation Request?," which was published by the Society for Human Resource Management on October 14, 2021.
In the article, Erika notes "[u]nder [the EEOC's] guidance, employers should request additional information only in the rare cases when the employer has an objective basis to question whether the employee is sincere or to question whether the employee's belief is actually religious in nature." She went on to say "[t]ermination could be legally permissible, but there is a risk that dissatisfied former employees will pursue litigation."
