Sullivan & Worcester Receives Champion Award from Victim Rights Law Center
Boston, MA - Sullivan is pleased to announce that the firm received this year’s Champion Award from the Victim Rights Law Center (VRLC), the first nonprofit law center in the country solely focused on the legal needs of sexual assault survivors. The firm was honored on September 22 at VRLC’s 2022 Shining Star Gala at The Exchange in Boston. Nicholas O'Donnell accepted the award on the firm’s behalf.
Sullivan has been an active pro bono partner of the VRLC’s for the past six years. The firm's attorneys have partnered with the VRLC to represent dozens of sexual assault survivors, including minors and complex cases. Throughout the pandemic when many survivors were in need of emergency assistance, pro bono attorneys at Sullivan consistently stepped up to champion survivors.
"We are honored to receive this award from the VRLC. We believe strongly in this organization and are deeply committed to supporting the important work they are doing to help sexual assault victims rebuild their lives and seek justice,” said Nick O'Donnell. "The firm is so proud to support the extremely important work of the VRLC and to receive this award in recognition of its efforts,” added Patrick Dinardo, Chair of the firm's Pro Bono Committee.
