Sullivan & Worcester Named a Regional Powerhouse by Law360
Boston, MA - Sullivan is pleased to announce that the firm has been named a 2022 Regional Powerhouse by Law360. According to Law360, the three law firms on Law360's list of 2022 Massachusetts Powerhouses "have roared back to life over the past 12 months after a period of pandemic uncertainty, and the firms recognized as Massachusetts Powerhouses in 2022 were ready for the resurgence, scoring major litigation victories, guiding massive transactions and providing vital pro bono services."
The Massachusetts Powerhouse firms had to succeed in a year when hybrid work became the norm throughout Boston and beyond.
"One of the things we learned from the pandemic is you don't have to be in the office all the time and there are probably some productivity gains by not being in the office," co-managing partner Joel Carpenter said. "The challenges are more cultural and much more pronounced for young people. Experienced partners can maintain relationships, but it's hard to create new ones over the phone."
"You follow your clients, so the idea of coming downtown if our clients are not downtown is just that much less appealing because they are not here," Sullivan & Worcester partner Ameek Ponda said. "You're not going to work collaboratively with them, you're not going to run into them in the street getting kabobs from the food truck because they are not here and the kabob food truck is not here."
