Sullivan & Worcester Elevates Four to Partner
BOSTON, MA – International law firm Sullivan & Worcester announced today that four attorneys representing four different practice areas were elevated to Partner, effective January 1, 2023. Two of the new partners are based in Sullivan’s Boston office and two in the firm’s New York City office.

The new Sullivan partners are:
- Steven Cunningham, Jr. (Boston), Trust & Estates, focuses his practice on estate planning. In particular, Steve counsels clients on minimizing income, estate, gift and generation skipping taxes, as well as succession planning for family-owned businesses. In addition to implementing wealth transfer strategies under wills and revocable trusts, Steve utilizes intentionally defective grantor trusts (IDGTs), irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs), spousal lifetime access trusts (SLATs), grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), family limited liability companies (FLLCs), family limited partnerships (FLPs), and qualified personal residence trusts (QPRTs).
- Rachael Schwartz (New York City), Investment Management Group, has more than 15 years’ experience counseling registered investment companies and their boards regarding all aspects of the 1940 Act and related securities laws relevant to funds and independent directors, including with respect to Section 15(c) contract approvals and renewals, oversight of multi-manager and sub-advisory relationships, disclosure issues, fund governance, ESG matters, cybersecurity and the launch and reorganizations of funds and fund complexes. She also helps clients develop policies and procedures in connection with new SEC rules and regulations, as well as advise independent directors on their duties and responsibilities related to new rules.
- Spencer Stone (Boston), Real Estate, focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate and finance law. He represents clients in development, debt and equity financing, acquisitions, dispositions, and entity formation, as well as lenders and borrowers in loan transactions.
- Eric Victorson (New York City), Capital Markets, represents issuers and underwriters on capital markets transactions, including SEC registered offerings and offerings exempt from SEC registration under Rule 144A/Regulation S, with a particular focus on cross-border capital markets transactions by foreign private issuers. His experience includes advising on primary and secondary equity and debt securities offerings for issuers located in various developed and emerging markets. Eric also advises US public companies with respect to their periodic reporting and disclosure obligations and stock exchange listing standards.
