Sullivan's Women's Initiative Sponsors Gift Drive for Women of Rosie's Place
Sullivan's Women's Initiative sponsored a holiday gift drive for the Women of Rosie's Place, the first women's shelter in the United States. Participants donated shoeboxes containing luxuries and necessities for individuals supported by Rosie's Place. Women from the Boston and Washington, DC offices donated 19 shoeboxes total.
"Rosie’s Place is a wonderful organization that supports women in need," says Nicole Crum, Partner and Chair of the Women’s Initiative. "Dedicating our holiday gift drive to them was a meaningful way for us to give back to the community."
Founded in 1974, Rosie's Place not only provides meals and shelter, but also wide-ranging support, housing and education services that reach over 12,000 women per year. The group relies solely on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding.
