Sullivan Welcomes 2021 Summer Associates

Boston, MA - Sullivan is pleased to welcome the 2021 class of Summer Associates to the firm, along with our first 1L Diversity Transactional Summer Associate:

Ruoya Burns: Ruoy​a is a third-year law student at Northeastern University School of Law where she serves as Associate Editor of the Northeastern University Law Review and Chair for APALSA. She recently completed a judicial internship for the Honorable Indira Talwani in the U.S. District Court and an internship with the Massachusetts Securities Division. Prior to attending Northeastern, Ruoya received an LLM in Banking and Financial Law from Boston University School of Law, a master's degree in Education from the University of Edinburgh, and a BA and LLB from Southwest University of Political Science and Law in China.

Prati Date: Prati is a JD/MBA candidate at Northeastern University. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Northeastern University Law Review, a member of the Law Review's DE&I Committee, and a 1L Mentor. To earn her MBA, Prati concentrated in Investment Finance and Leading People and Organizations. She also served as the Chief Compliance Officer of the 360 Huntington Fund. Prior to attending Northeastern, Prati taught Kindergarten in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, earned a M.Ed in Urban Education from Cardinal Stritch University, and a BS, cum laude, in Communication from Cornell University.

Laura Jarvis: Laura is a third-year law student at Boston University School of Law. She serves as Managing Editor of the Boston University Law Review and is active in the Public Interest Project and the Energy and Environmental Law Society. While in law school, Laura worked with the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Animal Welfare Institute. Laura received her BS in Advertising from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Rosa Kim: Rosa is a third-year student at Boston College Law School. She has served as the President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, a contributor for the BC Law Impact Blog, and a member of the Law Students Association DEI Committee. While in law school, Rosa worked at the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General as the Boston Bar Association's DEI Fellow. Prior to law school, Rosa received her BA in Plan II Honors, English, and History from the University of Texas at Austin.

Connie Seo Hyun Lee: Connie​ is a third-year law student at Boston College Law School. While in law school, she worked as a Law Practice Course Teaching Assistant, served as a BC Law Ambassador and was active in several student organizations, including the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, the Women's Law Center and the LAHANAS Affinity Group. Prior to law school, she received her BA, cum laude, in Sociology from Boston College.​​

Louisa O'Kelly: Louisa is a third-year l​aw student at Boston University School of Law where she serves on the Journal of Science and Technology Law. While in law school, she worked as a legal extern for the Honorable Justice Elspeth Cypher of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and as a legal intern for the Fund for Modern Courts. Prior to law school, Louisa received her BA in Middle East & North Africa Studies from Boston University.

Jorge Rios: Jorge is currently a law student at the University of Notre Dame and is Sullivan's inaugural 1L Diversity Transactional Summer Associate. He works as a research assistant to Nicole Garnett, the John P. Murphy Foundation Professor of Law, is a participant in Galilee, an experience-based course on incorporating public service into a future practice, and a member of First-Generation Professionals. Prior to law school, he earned his BA from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), and master's degrees in Education from UCLA, and in Economics from Boston University.
