Domenick Pugliese was quoted in the article, "Special Issue: Small-Fund Director Pay Drove 2020 Comp Hikes," which was published by BoardIQ [sub. req.] on September 7, 2021.

More fund directors saw their pay increase more last year than in 2019, with raises at boards overseeing ETFs and smaller funds outpacing those at the largest complexes, according to a BoardIQ analysis. Some 60% of the directors examined in the analysis saw an increase in pay, while compensation for a bit less than a quarter stayed the same. The remaining board members’ salaries were down. That compares to 2019, when about 56% of directors received a boost in pay and 26% saw no change.

“Directors had to spend a lot of time in 2020 on oversight with funds that had potential liquidity issues, funds with volatility, and the virtual meeting format, which often results in shorter meetings but over more days,” commented Dom.
