Russia-Ukraine War Is Discussion Topic In Fund Boardrooms

The article discusses how the invasion of Ukraine and the resulting sanctions against Russia might impact individual funds, and the boards overseeing those funds are being encouraged to keep current on the situation. Nicole weighed in on the Russia-Ukraine situation by noting, "linkages with Russia and Ukraine are varied and often complex." Given the circumstances, Nicole provided four key pieces of advice: 

• Funds to evaluate recent changes to portfolios or investment strategies in view of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine
• Operating companies to assess changes to operations or plans in view of the conflict
• Consideration of any anticipated changes for the coming year, as well as increased risk as a result of the conflict
• An evaluation of each fund's and company's exposure to Russia and Ukraine as of the most recent practicable date
