Covid-19 Forcing Boards to Consider Reevaluation of Annual 15(c) Review Formats
Nicole Crum was quoted in the article, "Covid-19 Forcing Boards to Consider Reevaluation of Annual 15(c) Review Formats," which was published in Fund Directions [sub. req.] on April 14, 2020.
The article discusses how Boards across the fund governance industry are gearing up for adjustments to their 15(c) advisory contract renewal process as volatility and operations may take the forefront and most will want to include impacts of the coronavirus that will have to be prepared.
While some boards and advisers are finding it possible to conduct their usual 15(c) reviews at close to normal timing and protocols, many are considering breaking up the meetings into more than one call. Nicole believes that earlier meeting agendas may need to be shortened in this way to accommodate the limitations of remote meetings. Telephone meetings, for example, require presentations and content that is “digestible."
